I have been wearing brooks glycerin for over 7 years now, and wanted to try a more padded soles running shoes as my joints startedto ache more and more due to mctd and a torn meniscus. I read about the glycerin max and found these shoes at a great price. I have pretty slim feet, and I'm usually 6.5 to 7 in 99.9% of the brands, with the exception of Brooks where I need to get 7.5. Unfortunately, these are the worst shoes I have ever had in my life. I run on average 5.2 miles a day, 5 to 6 days a week, and these literally killed my feet. My left foot has multiple blisters and the right has blisters on toes and they rub excessively on the ankle bone. Also, because there are a lot of curves on my path, my ankles are in so much pain, and I'm unable to move downwards my right big toe. Now, unfortunately, I have to see a doctor. The upper material is very stiff, and there seem to be a some kind of "plate" inside the material around the ankles, which rubs on my ankles.
These shoes do not even deserve the 1 star that I'm required to pick.
I am now looking to buy the basic Brooks glycerin.
